It can be difficult being pregnant during the holidays, everybody around you is enjoying mulled wine, bucks fizz and any other tipple they can get their hands on. Meanwhile it can feel as though you are stuck drinking fruit juice and water. Well, not anymore! We are here with our favourite mocktail recipes that are perfect for an extra-special Christmas treat! Whilst being delicious and refreshing, these cocktails are also completely vegan. Cheers to that!

Blueberry 'Mojito'

This deliciously refreshing treat is perfect for blueberry and mojito lovers alike! Simply bring a cup of blueberries, a tablespoon of agave nectar and a tablespoon of water to the boil before reducing to a simmer for approximately 5 minutes. Once cooled, add some of the mixture to the bottom of a glass and top with a squeeze of fresh lime, mint leaves and sparkling water. Top with some fresh or frozen blueberries, stir and enjoy! This recipe will make between 2-3 glasses, so enjoy with your loved ones.

Pomegranate Spritzer

Pomegranate Spritzer

This mocktail certainly looks festive with its beautiful red hue and can be adorned with fresh berries to garnish. Simply add ice to a glass followed by pomegranate juice, a dash of orange juice and a squeeze of fresh lime. Add a sprinkle of fresh pomegranate seeds before topping up with sparkling water. Stir well to combine all of the delicious ingredients together and garnish with fresh fruit.

Faux Mulled Wine

OK, this may not be a ‘mocktail’, but this non-alcoholic mulled wine recipe was too good not to share! Bring a cup of pomegranate juice, a tablespoon of agave nectar and a dash of orange juice to the boil. Add a cinnamon stick, a star anise and a slice of orange to the mix before bringing down to a gentle simmer. Ensure the mixture is not too hot and enjoy!

Margarita (Frozen or Fresh)

This simple yet tasty non-alcoholic recipe will make you feel the life and soul of the Christmas party! Add ice to a glass before topping with orange juice, lime juice and a tablespoon of agave nectar. Stir well and garnish with a slice of lime. If you prefer your margarita frozen, simply blend all of the ingredients together (with extra ice) before adding to a glass.
